About Redbone Coonhounds:

*  They generally live to 12-15 years.

*  They have short, smooth coats with a fairly low rate of shedding (we recommend weekly brushing)

*  Keep their ears clean & dry to prevent infection

New Puppy Parents:

* It is a good idea to to create a schedule - routine right away. They love routines!

* Don't teach too much too quick.  Focus on potty training first and then one command at a time. 

* Take puppy potty every 45 minutes for the first few days until you learn the schedule. 

* Make changes slowly especially when it come to their diet.

* Too many treats in the beginning is not a good idea (usually end up causing diarrhea).

* A natural probiotic such as canned 100% pumpkin (too much can cause loose stool) is great for your puppy.

* Frozen peas and blueberries are great teething treats.

* Never give your dog rawhide it can cause blockages/become lodged in the intestinal track.

* Puppies bite because they are teething, help them find something else to chew on.

* Everything is a phase, be patient working through the stages.

* When you get your puppy keep in mind your pup just left everyone and everything it has ever known.

* Is the deposit part of the total price of the puppy?

Yes, the deposit will be taken off the total price.

* How do I choose my puppy?

We post pictures and videos on Facebook from the day they are born until they go home.  We put collars on the pups at 2 weeks and at 5 week we let the new puppy parents choose their pup. Puppy pick is in order of application/deposit received.

* Can a Redbone live with a cat?

Yes, ours do great with our cat.
